Websites About Computer Science

Hi ! When I attended my first class of computer science, I thought to myself that I would need the help of people who are in my field of study. Classmate come to mind, but when you are in a rush to finish your work you won't be able to ask a classmate. So there it is. I have found three websites that you must know if you are in computer science !

1. OpenClassroom

The first one is called OpenClassroom, which is a website that gives tutorial. You can use it in Spanish, French and English. You can even take online class on this website and you can get an international degree with it. It used to be called Siteduzero because you would learn things on this website from the scratch, but in 2013, the creator wanted to be more international and siteduzero is not a good name for an international website. OpenClassroom is way more open-minded than siteduzero Openclassroom was created by Mathieu Nebra in 1999, his idea was to create a website which would give a tutorial for novice.
He was 13 years old. In 2015 is the year where Siteduzero became OpenClassroom

1. Reddit

The next one is Reddit, which is more like a forum than a website. You can write text post on it like you can on Facebook. Everyone will be able to see them. People will then up vote or down vote them. The post that has the most ups vote will reach the front page. However, Reddit has a lot of "SubReddit". That how they call it. A SubReddit is a more specific Reddit. In our case. We got the computer science SubReddit, which is Reddit about computer science. In this Reddit you can only speak about computer science. Also, SubReddit has rules like in computer science when somebody is asking something and he got his information, you can down vote him because his post don't have to stay anymore on the first page. This is very useful because you can ask question, get answer, move on. You can also help people, which is a very good thing when learning. It was developed by two roommates in University of Virginia, Steven Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in 2005.

3. Compsci

The last one, compsci which was created by Dan. I wasn't able to find his full name and I don't even know if this is his real name because Dan is the name that he uses on the forum. On this website you are able to speak about specific subject in computer science. As you can see if you go on the website. You are able to discuss programming language like C++ or Java. You can ask help in those domains. Like in Reddit, you could also help people. It is very good for students because I believe some teacher go on this website and it is Canadian !
